Buttermilk Fried Chicken Recipe

3 1/2 pound chicken, cut in 8 pieces
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 tsp ground dried herbs (oregano, thyme, rosemary, sage)
2 cups buttermilk
Update the heat of the oil should be at 350. As he states it will cool
to about 300 when you put the chicken in. You can serve this chicken
with a milk gravy, or a sweet and tangy honey mustard.
This recipe is very good. I don’t use oregano. I add parsley instead. Also
Kosher Salt and unbleached all purpose flour along with a teaspoon of fresh
cracked pepper. Panko bread crumbs and plain bread crumbs for more texture.
This is good served with buttermilk biscuits and some fresh coleslaw. Fresh
Corn on the cob makes this the perfect dinner.
