French dip beef sandwich, with bowl of “jus” for dipping. “Au jus” is French for “with own juice”; “jus” is the juice itself. In American cuisine, the term is mostly used to refer to a light sauce for beef recipes, which may be served with the food or placed on the side for dipping. In French cuisine, “jus” is a natural way to enhance the flavour of dishes, mainly chicken, veal and lamb. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

This recipe makes the juiciest
most flavorful french dip
sandwiches. You can use a
slow cooker.

I like to use my homemade
Kaiser rolls or french bread
for this particular sandwich.
Add some provolone slices
and you have a yummy meal.

Serve it with coleslaw
and some steak fries.

Instead of beer I like to use 4
ounces of cooking Sherry. I also
use Au Jus ready made packets
from the Market. Then I put
a slice of provolone with the
roast beef. It makes taste so
rich and good.
