Eggnog Shake for the Holidays

When we think of the holidays, Eggnog,
and pumpkin pie come to mind. My dad who loved the holidays,
could never decorate the Christmas Tree, without a nice glass
of Eggnog.

Our family especially loved Eggnog Shakes. You can make these delicious
Eggnog milk shakes at home.

Ingredients

1 Cup of French Vanilla Ice Cream
1/3 Cup Eggnog, store bought or homemade
Whipped Cream
Maraschino Cherries
1 Teaspoon of fresh grated nutmeg for each glass or 1/2 Teaspoon of pre ground nutmeg
For adults add some rum

Variation:

1 Cup of Eggnog Ice Cream
1/3 Cup of Milk
Whipped Cream
Maraschino Cherries
1 Teaspoon of fresh grated nutmeg for each glass or 1/2 Teaspoon of preground nutmeg
For adults add some rum

Directions

Place one cup of your favorite vanilla ice cream in the blender. Then add 1/3 cup of Eggnog and puree
for 45 seconds. Pour into a glass, add nutmeg, whipped cream and a cherry. Serve with a ice tea spoon and
enjoy. When I make homemade pumpkin pie, I use eggnog in the mix. It makes the pie creamy and very flavorful.

I also serve some butter cookies with this.
