Companies like Walmart, Target, and the diabetes pill company are dropping Paula Deen.
Food Network. has pulled all of Deen’s cooking shows and replaced them with Giada De Laurentiis. Giada has suffered a backlash from Deen’s fans. It was Food Network’s decision Martha Stewart has weighed in on the scandal.
Martha Stewart was a guest on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ show last night. She was caught off guard, when a caller asked her, if she agreed with what was happening, or supported Paula. She didn’t hold back and gave, what I think is a good answer.
Stewart responds: “Well, I feel sorry for Paula Deen. She’s a public figure. And I know you have to be extremely careful being a public figure. … I just feel like you have to really watch yourself. … especially in this day and age, with cameras all over you, and Google. …What I just said, that’ll be there forever!”
I have to agree with Martha. She would know better than anyone else about this. After her scandal for insider trading and spending some time
in prison, and even house arrest. She bounced back, and re invented herself. She knows what she is talking about, because she has been in the media spotlight.
A few fans and even staffers have come forward in support of Deen. New York City Wine & Food Festival still stands behind her/
They are still going to have her at their food fest scheduled for October. Author Ann Rice, and Glen Beck have also come out in support of the
chef. Her cookbook is a 1 seller on amazon, probably due to dire hard fans. Can she bounce back after this? As new allegations come out, it maybe a long while before you see Paula.
